I was born in 1992 but prefer “older” (to me) music. i went at the weekend to see 2 tribute bands with my dad so wasn’t “older” music for him and it was incredible. It was an outside undercover event and the bands were Gene Genie (David Bowie) and money for nothing (dire straits). Both good but money for nothing was absolutely incredible! Having seen Mark knopfler live and also being quite keen on dire straits it was a very close match in quality of what they played! Very talented.

Tribute bands can be great, I've seen a few really bad ones though
Not sure if Fake Festival runs in your area, but if it does they get some of the best tribute bands and tour them around the UK, different areas get 3-4 different tribute acts, but if you go to a local one you always used to get a ticket to the end of season weekend festival where all of the bands play

Saw extreme queen (I think they were called). I had to cancel my ticked to the real think due to the pandemic so really enjoyed it.
