Has anyone else fell into the trap of taking there kids to something and ending up volunteering there. I've done it twice now this year alone. Don't get me wrong I enjoy the stuff I'm volunteering for but why do I keep on falling into the trap.

I'm guessing as a dad you want the best for your children and if that means you helping out to get it, then it's what you do as a good dad, I can't say I've ever done this for my children as yet, my eldest who is 21 this year I was always working, but I can see it happening with my younger two 5&3 as I now only work part time I have been thinking about volunteering my time for a charity that I'm involved with for my daughter, it's a down syndrome charity we attend lots of their events which are all funded by them and I really want to be able to give something back. I'm a driving instructor and I also work with young driver training so I'm thinking about seeing if young driver training would allow families that have older children with down syndrome to attend at a discounted rate if I worked for free so the older children with down syndrome can have an opportunity to drive in a safe environment, the chances are most of none of them will ever get the chance to drive normally so think it would be an awesome experience for them

Yeah it is beavers that has most recently caught me it is great fun but its a pain having to do very similar mandatory training to my other volunteering role as a Park play leader
