We have a holiday coming up with the inevitable trips to the beach planned. The exception being that this time we are taking my car as it is newer and apparently cheaper to take on the ferry. Do you guys have any thoughts on the below: 1) driving in France. Is this a doddle? Anything to watch out for. 2) have you come across anything that you can throw down in the motor so that your car doesn’t become a sandpit?

I've driven I France once but it was a long time ago, I didn't find It too difficult, the only thing that was a struggle was trying to over take slower cars as you can't see down the road, so a front seat passenger that you trust to tell you it's clear is really useful. If you go onto Amazon you can buy rear seats covers, look for ones for dogs, they will completely cover the rear seats and you should also be able to cover the floor as well. Something like this SUPSOO Dog Seat Cover for Back Seat Waterproof Durable Anti-Scratch Nonslip Pet Protection Dog Travel Hammock with Mesh Window and Side Flaps for Cars Trucks SUV amzn.eu/d/3egH9I6

Thanks Darren. The seat covers look like a great shout. Also the overtaking is definitely something that I’ll look out for. I had a nightmare driving in Spain the once but I think that was mainly due to driving the uncles automatic there.

Make sure you read up on all the laws and stuff. There are certain things you need in your car, high Vis vest for everyone, hazard triangle, breathalyser things like that. They're pretty hot on it too apparently.
Enjoy your trip!

Not to do with driving but I'm sure there is a law that says you can only wear Speedo type trunks in French swimming pools as well 🤯
